First Notable Art: Preschool - "The Fish Swimming in the Sea"
Day Job: Professional Graphic Designer, Owner of Cj Design
Art Training: Yes - B.S. - Applied Art & Design - Cal Poly, SLO
Tattoos: No - I'd tend to want to keep changing the thing.
Common Theme: I'm more for variety as opposed to getting locked into a cookie cutter look and pumping out X in 21 different scenes. But I have been known to do a series on modern chair design - I gravitate toward vintage in most of my work I guess.
Medium: Acrylic on large canvas along with a healthy dose of small scale collage, fueled by years of invaluable found objects
gathered along the road - and many trips to the flea market.
Influences: Painter, Jean-Michel Basquiat, collage artist + designer, Charles Wilkin, Kauai - that island for me spawns enormous creativity, and it's hard to separate my art from my graphic design - most paintings are a bit of a cross between the two.
